China National Tire Group launches wave of investment and construction of Indonesian factories

time:2024-12-11 21:25:24 Hit:89

Tire World Network recently learned that a large domestic tire factory is about to invest in Indonesia.

Previously, the largest tire company in China, Zhongce Rubber, also reported building a factory in Indonesia.

It is predicted that by the end of 2024, Zhongce's Indonesian factory will have its first child produced.

This may mean that without realizing it, Chinese tires have started investing in and building factories in Indonesia.

According to informed sources, the shift of investment in the tire industry towards Indonesia is directly related to avoiding trade barriers.

Since the United States launched the "double anti" policy against Chinese tires, a large number of companies have gone to Southeast Asia to build factories.

Thailand, as the preferred destination, has attracted investment and factory construction from six Chinese tire companies.

As a result, the country has become a major importer of tires from the United States.

But at the end of 2023, the United States launched a tariff investigation on truck and bus tires from Thailand.

Various signs indicate that Thailand's tire business exporting to the United States will be affected in this round of turmoil.

Some top tire companies with a sense of crisis have already been planning new investment plans behind the scenes.

It is understood that as a major rubber producing country, Indonesia currently has many tire factories.

Apart from local elephant tires and MASA, there are also many foreign and joint venture tire companies.

Among them are tire giants such as Bridgestone, Goodyear, Hankook, and Zhengxin Rubber.
